Louise Adams founder of Cultshe, has been crowned as one of two winners of the Women In Business Yes You Can pitching all Island competition. As a result, Louise has secured a total of £5,000 to support the growth of her business, a clothing and lifestyle brand for the female rural worker and women who love the countryside. Louise, along with two other finalists Caitrin Kinkaid (CubeFun) and Rabab Flack (Causeway Clear Ears) received mentorship from Mallusk Enterprise Park, a proud delivery partner of Women In Business.
Lorraine Acheson, Managing Director at the WIB Group, said: “It’s a real privilege to help propel the next generation of women-led start-ups at what was our 7th All-Island Entrepreneurs Conference. On behalf of the Women in Business team, I would like to congratulate all our Yes You Can finalists who demonstrated not only their innovation but their courage and determination to pitch live to an all-island audience. A special shout out must go to our overall winners, Louise and Catherine, whose businesses are true innovators within their respective fields. I am excited to see all our finalists flourish in the years ahead.”
Louise Parkes, Business Adviser in Mallusk Enterprise Park, said “It was been a joy working with these ladies and we are extremely proud of all they have achieved and are very much looking forward to watching their next steps. We worked with these ladies on the Yes You Can programme over a period of 6 months. The coaching covered various areas including but not limited to marketing, strategic development and financial management support very much tailored to the needs of each of their business. We were thrilled to have worked with three of the finalists and so proud of Louise Adams from Cultshe who was ultimately crowned the overall winner on the day of the conference.
