OPTIMAL Business Expansion for Monkstown Butcher Shop

The Butchers Monkstown Relocates to New, Expanded Premises

The Butchers Monkstown, a well-established family butchers in the heart of Monkstown, has announced a move to new and larger premises.

Raymond and Laura Millar, the proprietors of The Butchers Monkstown, have been proudly serving the community from their original County Antrim shop since 1998. With the move, they aim to provide an enhanced shopping experience for their loyal customers while accommodating the growing demand for their quality meats.

The new premises, situated at Jennings Park in Monkstown has been designed to offer an improved shopping experience with a more spacious, inviting and comfortable environment for customers to enjoy.

The local business has also invested in an expansion of their operations to include a deli counter, offering a diverse range of freshly prepared meats and freshly baked products from renowned local bakers French Village. The small family run business is proactively responding to rising local demand for hot food take away for ‘on the go’ lunch and snack needs and healthy, ready to serve, meals to cook and eat at home.

Raymond and Laura’s decision to make the investment to move to a larger location, more than double the size of their original butcher shop, a move which has delivered six new jobs to the local area, was driven by their commitment to continually improve their offerings and meet the evolving needs of their valued customers.

Recognising the need for expert guidance and support during this transition, they sought the assistance of Business Advisors Peter Weir and Louise Parkes from Mallusk Enterprise Park as part of the OPTIMAL business growth support programme funded by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, Invest Northern Ireland and the European Regional Development Fund under the Investment for Growth & Jobs Northern Ireland Programme.

Peter Weir and Louise Parkes provided specialist advice and assistance, helping the husband and wife team navigate the complexities of expanding their business. Their expertise and guidance were instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition to the new premises and enabling ‘The Butchers Monkstown’ to develop strategies for sustainable growth.

Raymond expressed his gratitude, saying,

“We are extremely grateful to Peter Weir and Louise Parkes from Mallusk Enterprise Park for their guidance and support throughout this process. Their expertise and business acumen have been invaluable in helping us realise our vision for The Butchers Monkstown.”

The Butchers Monkstown would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to their loyal customers, whose continued support has been instrumental in their growth and success over the years. They look forward to welcoming both existing and new customers to their new premises, where they can experience the same exceptional quality and service they have come to expect from ‘The Butchers Monkstown’.
