GROW South Antrim Craft Meeting

GROW South Antrim has identified a funding opportunity through the NI Rural Development Programme (2014- 2020) and we are keen to work with crafters, particularly in the rural areas of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough, to develop skills and provide access to other marketplaces alongside project partners in Finland, Estonia and Mexico.  For this project, we are keen to target craft businesses, or those carrying out craft with the potential of turning their hobby into a part-time or full time business.

We would like to invite you to attend an event for crafters in the borough on Thursday 19th April at 7pm in Mossley Mill, Newtownabbey – to gauge interest and demand within the craft sector in our Borough, establish what support you feel is needed and to help shape the project in advance of planned partner meeting in early May.

As well as other local crafters, we also intend to invite a representative from the local Council’s Arts and Culture department, as well as from the wider NI craft sector through the Arts Council/ Craft NI.

If you would like to attend, please respond to the GROW team at grow@antrimandnewtownabbey.gov.uk by Monday 16th April at 12 noon.
