
We are looking for a Deli Assistant to join our team.
Full time working hours: 7.30am – 3.00pm, Monday to Friday
Part time hours will also be considered for the right candidate
Responsibilities of the job will include:
Customer Service:
- Greet, assist, and provide recommendations to customers.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and special requests professionally.
Food Preparation:
- Prepare deli items and serve hot/cold beverages, ensuring hygiene standards.
Stock Management:
- Monitor inventory, communicate restocking needs, and maintain product quality.
Maintain Cleanliness:
- Keep deli area clean and organised, following sanitation guidelines.
- Undertake general cleaning tasks within the deli space.
Payment Handling:
- Process customer transactions accurately using the EPOS system.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with team for smooth deli operation.
- Assist in training new staff, promoting a collaborative work environment.
Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Desirable:
- Level 2 or above; Food Safety and Hygiene
- Barista Trained
