We are seeking a Deli Assistant

We are looking for a Deli Assistant to join our team.

Full time working hours: 7.30am – 3.00pm, Monday to Friday

Part time hours will also be considered for the right candidate

 

Responsibilities of the job will include:

Customer Service:

  • Greet, assist, and provide recommendations to customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and special requests professionally.

Food Preparation:

  • Prepare deli items and serve hot/cold beverages, ensuring hygiene standards.

Stock Management:

  • Monitor inventory, communicate restocking needs, and maintain product quality.

Maintain Cleanliness:

  • Keep deli area clean and organised, following sanitation guidelines.
  • Undertake general cleaning tasks within the deli space.

Payment Handling:

  • Process customer transactions accurately using the EPOS system.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with team for smooth deli operation.
  • Assist in training new staff, promoting a collaborative work environment.

Experience and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Desirable:

  • Level 2 or above; Food Safety and Hygiene
  • Barista Trained
